L-R: Lena Dunham and America Fererra; Paul Morigi/WireImage(PHILADELPHIA) — Lena Dunham and America Ferrera joined forces on stage at the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia Tuesday night, accused Donald Trump of “making America hate again” in a tag-team speech focused on Trump’s rhetoric about women and Latinos.

Dunham, known for her HBO series Girls, and Ferrera, who now stars on NBC’s Superstore, portrayed Trump as a man who fostered divisions and demeaned women and minorities.

“Look, Donald’s not making America great again, he’s making America hate again,” Ferrera told the crowd.

“My body is a two,” Dunham said, referring to how she believed Trump would speak about her.

“And I’m a rapist,” Ferrera said, referring to Trump’s words about Mexican immigrants.  The actress called herself “the proud child of Honduran immigrants,” and said that her childhood was difficult.

“Occasionally I needed a free meal to get through the school day,” she said, praising the type of social programs backed by Democrats.

Dunham spoke on behalf of women who were harmed by Trump’s rhetoric and said that the Republican nominee “takes us back to a time when women were meant to be beautiful and silent.”

“Let’s say with one voice that we all have worth,” Dunham said.

Meryl Streep and Scandal‘s Tony Goldwyn were among the other actors who addressed the DNC Tuesday.

Deadly Games on “America’s Got Talent”; Trae Patton/NBC(LOS ANGELES) — America’s Got Talent kicked off its live rounds at Hollywood’s Dolby Theater Tuesday night with the first 12 quarterfinalists relying on fan votes to see which of them would advance to the semifinals. Simon Cowell, Howie Mandel, Heidi Klum and Mel B were treated to performances from singers, magicians, comedians and dancers, all introduced by host Nick Cannon.

Tuesday’s lineup included a 13-year-old stand-up comic and a 13-year-old opera singer.

Here’s a rundown of some of Tuesday’s highlights:

Fourteen-year-old singer Jayna Brown kicked things off with a soulful version of Ed Sheeran’s “Make It Rain” that drew a standing ovation, and led Simon to declare Jayna “killed” the song. Heidi said the teen was “the voice of a winner.”

Next, it was multimedia magic from Hara, who combined stunning visual effects with illusions that included making a woman appear, followed by a flock of doves, and also featured the magician flying on a dragon. Simon, noting this is the point in the competition that “makes or breaks you,” said Tuesday’s performance made him. Mel B noted Hara took us into his “magical, mystical wonderland.”

Musicality, a choir from Chicago’s South Side, performed Ariana Grande’s “One Last Time.” Mel B said the group “lights up the room.” Simon’s only critique was that the group could use better material. Howie declared they “inspire.”

Stand-up comedienne Lori Mae Hernandez, 13, surprised the judges with biting political humor aimed mainly at Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump, as well as jokes about braces. The routine was a hit with the judges, including Simon, who called Lori “edgy, cool and current.”

Knife-throwing couple Alfredo and Anna Silva – also known as Deadly Games – held the audience breathless as Alfredo threw his blades at Anna while blindfolded. Next, he threw flaming knives at Anna, who is on the “Spinning Wheel of Death.”

Jon Derenbos performed close-up magic. He made each of the judges draw a picture on a piece of paper and correctly matched each of the pictures to the judge who drew it. Next, he pulled his own drawings from a sealed bottle, which matched the pictures drawn by the judges.

Comic mime Tape Face called Heidi to the stage and reenacted the pottery scene from the film Ghost, using a lump of clay. Next, Cannon assisted him with a musical routine involving a pair of sunglasses that would play different tunes when worn by each of them. Howie noted the comic makes “something out of nothing.” Simon declared Tape Face is so silly, he’ll end up in movies or on his own TV show.

Laura Bretan, a 13-year-old opera singer, amazed the audience and judges with her mature voice. She drew a standing ovation from the judges, including Heidi, who noted Bretan’s voice got better as the piece got harder.

America’s Got Talent returns Wednesday at 8 p.m. ET on NBC.

The New York Daily News reports that he signed a three-picture deal, meaning sequels could be in the offing.

“There is a real sense of excitement around the Han Solo movie and its potential,” the newspaper’s source says. “Given that Han’s early adventures do not need to be tied to the Empire, it leaves story lines open with the opportunity to really give fans something different. They can explore new galaxies and crazy creatures and bring in a wide array of new characters.”

Solo’s past has been explored in a series of novels, however much of that so-called “Expanded Universe” material is not considered “canon,” giving Lucasfilm and Disney a wide creative berth to explore the smug smugler’s past. 

There’s been no official word from Disney, which is releasing the new Star Wars movies and is the parent company of ABC News.

Gail Katz, who produced the 1997 Harrison Ford blockbuster Air Force One, has written a letter to the GOP presidential nominee’s campaign, telling them to stop using the movie’s score at his campaign events – the most recent being Trump’s arrival via helicopter last week at the Republican National Convention in Cleveland, OH.

“At no point were the filmmakers contacted to ask for permission to use Jerry’s music for the Republican campaign,” the letter, posted on The Hollywood Reporter’s website, says in part.

“We sincerely hope that Donald Trump and the Republicans do not use the Air Force One score in the future,” the letter continues. “It is a misappropriation of the music and the good will of the film, and we want to make sure that it does not imply any endorsement of the Republican ticket by the filmmakers.”

Leaving no doubt about her feelings toward candidate Trump, Katz ends the letter with, “The Trump campaign’s misappropriation of songs and music over the repeated objections of authors and performers is just one more reason why on November 8 the American voters will send a clear message to Donald Trump — ‘Stay off our plane’!”

The final comment of course echoes Harrison Ford’s words to Gary Oldman’s hijacker near the movie’s end: “Get off my plane!”

Trump has been criticized in recent weeks by musicians including Queen, Adele, The Rolling Stones, Neil Young, the estate of George Harrison and others for using their music in his campaign.

Dwayne Johnson in “Ballers”; Jeff Daly/courtesy of HBO(LOS ANGELES) — A Los Angeles judge on Monday granted a motion to dismiss a $200 million copyright-infringement lawsuit brought against Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Mark Wahlberg and other defendants over the HBO series Ballers, Deadline reports.

Earlier this year, Everette Silas and Sherri Littleton filed a lawsuit that was amended from a previous complaint, alleging the premise of Ballers is ripped off from their own idea that they once pitched to Wahlberg and others.

The judge determined that the similarities between the two works did not rise to the standard of copyright infringement.

Ballers, whose second season began this month, is executive produced by Johnson and Wahlberg, and stars “The Rock” as a former football player who mentors other players as a financial adviser.

Gabe Ginsberg/FilmMagic(LOS ANGELES) — Safe to say Matt Damon isn’t a fan of Donald Trump.

In an interview with ABC Radio, the star of the forthcoming Jason Bourne expressed his opinion that the Republican nominee is not fit to be president.

Damon’s issue with Trump: his temperament.  He says The Donald is still mad over an article in Spy magazine almost 30 years ago that said Trump has small hands — and to this day Trump reportedly sends Spy magazine co-creator Graydon Carter pictures of his hands to try and prove they’re not small.

“That temperament, somebody who would do that over the smallest slight, from some profile that was done 30 years ago, that temperament married to the power of the presidency is what scares me,” Damon says. 

Jason Bourne hits theaters Friday.

L-R: Robby & Jordan; ABC/Craig Sjodin(LOS ANGELES) — JoJo Fletcher now has her choice of two men following Monday night’s episode of The Bachelorette.

The lucky finalists are Jordan and Robby. Luke and Chase were both eliminated, with Chase’s goodbye being particularly tense.

The episode began where last week’s left off: with an emotional JoJo wondering what she was going to do after Luke surprised her by pulling her aside right before the rose ceremony to tell her he loves her.

JoJo collected herself just enough to hand out roses to Jordan, Robby and Chase, leaving a stunned Luke to take the walk to the limo.

JoJo explained to him that while their relationship had gotten better over time, she hadn’t been sure where she stood with him. Luke lamented that they’ll never know what they could have had.

JoJo sobbed as she said goodbye to him. “I’m gonna miss you,” she told him.

“I miss you already,” Luke replied.

After that difficult goodbye, JoJo left for Thailand, where she had one-on-one dates with the three remaining bachelors. First up was Robby, with whom she perused a floating market and shared kisses in the rain.

The topic of Robby’s ex-girlfriend, and the rumor that he broke up with her so he could be on the show, came up again. He showed JoJo a note his dad gave him, in which he encouraged him to forget the negativity and stick to his plan. He told JoJo to keep the note in case she ever has doubts about his feelings for her.

In turn, JoJo extended Robby an invite to the fantasy suite, which he readily accepted.

For her second date, JoJo was joined by Jordan for a hiking adventure, during which they reached a temple inside a cave where kissing is not permitted.

JoJo pressed Jordan on their possible future together. After a back-and-forth that questioned his commitment to her, he assured her that he wants to be with her. He told her that he’s a “better person” because of her.

That was the right answer, because it got him an invite to the fantasy suite.

JoJo’s final date had her and Chase taking a boat ride to a secluded beach.

After their beach visit, and while Chase was out of the picture, Robby visited JoJo to reiterate his feelings for her.

Over dinner, Chase accepted an invite to the fantasy suite — but he didn’t get to spend the night with her. Later on, when he told JoJo he loves her, JoJo wasn’t feeling the same way. “I’m having an overwhelming feeling of doubt,” she told the camera.

She stepped out for a moment to collect her thoughts, then returned. “I don’t know if I’m in the same place as you,” she admitted.

Chase let loose, saying he put it all on the line and that he regretted saying he loves her. “You never gave it a chance,” he added.

He tried to walk out on her, but JoJo wanted to continue the conversation. “None of this makes sense,” he said, and once again he took off.

In the car ride he compared receiving a fantasy suite invite and then having it taken away to being kicked in the you-know-where.

He must have taken a U-turn, because he interrupted the ensuing rose ceremony — not to beg for a second chance, but to tell JoJo he’s not mad at her.

However, he concluded, “I do think you’re wrong…my heart is still open for you.”

Privately, JoJo cried and admitted she still has feelings for Chase. Nevertheless, she resumed the rose ceremony and gave roses to Jordan and Robby, saying she was excited to introduce them to her family.

On Tuesday night, ABC will air the “Men Tell All” special. We’ll learn JoJo’s choice next Monday night on the season finale of The Bachelorette.
