New Music Friday: Post Malone & Morgan Wallen, Ed Sheeran and more

Last year, Post Malone and Morgan Wallen hit #1 with “I Need Some Help,” and now they’ve released “I Ain’t Comin’ Back,” another duet, which will appear on Morgan’s upcoming album I’m the Problem. Appropriately, or perhaps inappropriately, for a song released on Good Friday, the chorus of the song goes, “There’s a lot of reasons I ain’t Jesus, but the main one is that I ain’t comin’ back.”

Ed Sheeran has released a new version of his single “Azizam” — whose title means “My Dear” in Persian, or Farsi, as it’s also known– sung entirely in that language. Ed’s official Instagram account has posted a video of him recording the song in Farsi as his musical collaborator on the song, who is Persian, walks him through the pronunciation. He’s joined on the song by legendary Iranian singer Googoosh. On Instagram, she wrote, “Ed, thank you for highlighting such a beautiful part of the Iranian culture and for embracing our community with this song. It was a pleasure being able to sing with you.”

Danish singer Lukas Graham, best known for his global hit “7 Years,” returns with a new single called “You You You,” along with a live video. Lukas has been performing the song at pop-up concerts around the world, and he says, “We brought ‘You You You’ to the streets because it’s a song made to connect — it’s built for singing along, smiling, and feeling something together. And that’s exactly what’s been happening.”

“Million Dollar Baby” singer Tommy Richman has released a new version of his current single “Actin Up” with rapper Sexyy Red.

Alicia Silverstone is “totally buggin,'” because a Clueless TV series is in development.

Good Morning America has learned of the new series, which will star Silverstone in her iconic role as Cher Horowitz.

The actress will also co-executive produce with Amy Heckerling and Robert Lawrence. Josh Schwartz, Stephanie Savage and Jordan Weiss will executive produce and co-write the series.

“Totally buggin’… in the best way (Swipe to see why),” she wrote in the caption of the post, which featured a screenshot of a Variety article, as well as a gif and a photo of her character, Cher.

The new series, which will stream on Peacock, is a follow-up to the 1995 film, a coming-of-age teen comedy that follows Cher, a shallow, rich and socially successful teen from Beverly Hills who plays matchmaker with her teachers and friends and helps the new girl in school, Tai (Brittany Murphy), gain popularity after a makeover.

The film was a loose adaptation of the Jane Austen novel Emma.

In addition to Silverstone and Murphy, the film starred Stacey Dash, Paul Rudd, Donald Faison and Elisa Donovan.

Alex Warren scores UK’s longest-running #1 of 2025

Jimmy Fontaine

Alex Warren just racked up his first Billboard Hot 100 top 10, but he’s the king of the charts in the U.K.

Alex’s latest song, “Ordinary,” has notched its fifth straight week at #1 on Britain’s Official Singles chart. That makes it the longest-running #1 hit of 2025 to date. The previous record was set by Lola Young, whose hit “Messy” was #1 for four weeks.

On his Instagram Story on Friday, Alex posted a photo of himself behind the wheel, looking shocked. He captioned it, “Ordinary is the UK’s longest #1 this year … I LOVE YOU THANK YOU OMFG.”

“Ordinary” was released in February and is from the digital reissue of Alex’s debut album, You’ll Be Alright, Kid (Chapter 1)

The U.S. leg of Alex’s Cheaper Than Therapy Global Tour 2025 kicks off April 24 in Dallas. The mostly sold-out tour is set to wrap June 7 in Santa Ana, California.

That’s ‘Messy’: Lola Young shares video of herself running offstage to barf during Coachella set

Disney/Randy Holmes

What’s worse than being so sick you have to throw up? Feeling that way onstage as you’re making your debut at Coachella. Just ask Lola Young.

The “Messy” singer performed at Coachella on April 11, and now she’s shared video of the moment on Instagram for fans who weren’t there to see it happen live. In the video, you see Lola singing and dancing, with the caption overlay reading, “not me doing my first Coachella & gagging & throwing up all the way through the set.”

“It was getting real bad here guys,” the caption continues, and we see Lola retch and run off stage, followed by her asking, “Can I get a bucket, please?” Cut to Lola onstage dancing again, with the caption, “and i’m back n twerking my way through the sickness.”

Next, we see Lola at the mic telling the crowd, “That wouldn’t have been cute if I threw up.” Then she grimaces and the caption reads, “trying to hang in there with all my power.”

“If you’re coming today maybe it’ll be messier” reads the final caption, teasing her performance at the festival Friday night.

Next to the post, Lola wrote, “i was nervous guys and it was [104] bloody degrees. Im back today, same time, same tent love ya.”

Kelly Clarkson releasing a new song ‘soon’

Weiss Eubanks/NBC Universal

Kelly Clarkson is teasing a new song with an appropriate title.

On Instagram Friday, she posted the single artwork for the song, which is called “Where Have You Been.” No release date, but Kelly captioned it, “Soon… .”

The last official solo, non-Christmas single Kelly has released was “Favorite Kind of High” back in 2023. That was when she was still on her previous record label, Atlantic. In January she announced that she’d started her own record label, so this new song may be her first release under that banner.

Kelly will launch a new Las Vegas residency, Studio Sessions, July 4 at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace.

Here’s why Mariah Carey wore her actual wedding dress in ‘We Belong Together’ video

Courtesy Vevo

Mariah Carey‘s been looking back on her album The Emancipation of Mimi ahead of its 20th anniversary, and in honor of the occasion, she’s contributed to a Vevo Footnotes edition of “We Belong Together.” In that behind-the-scenes look at the clip, she reveals why she said yes to the dress a second time.

The video for “We Belong Together” continues the story Mariah started telling in the video for “It’s Like That,” which set up a love triangle between her and actors Eric Roberts and Wentworth Miller

In “We Belong Together,” Mariah is marrying Roberts’ character, but when Miller shows up to the wedding, she ends up running away with him, still wearing her elaborate bridal gown.

In the Vevo Footnotes, Mariah comments that she was happy they were able to land Roberts for the clip “because he’s an actor that I really admire.”

“I was excited to be able to tell a story that spanned over two music videos. … I knew we’d be able to bring them together despite the songs being sonically different,” she continues. “I also really loved the fashion choices, going from wearing a black two-piece [in ‘It’s Like That’] to wearing a wedding dress by Vera Wang.”

Not just any Vera Wang gown, though: It’s the one she wore when she married Tommy Mottola in 1993. They split in 1997. Mariah comments in the Vevo Footnotes, “Since I was going to do a scene with a wedding dress, rather than spend tons of money on a new dress, we just used the one I had lying around.”

Doechii battles ninjas, fires and dogs, nods to Gotye in official video for ‘Anxiety’

John Jay

Don’t you hate it when ninjas unexpectedly bust through the windows of your house? It’s enough to give anyone “Anxiety” — which is what happens in the official video for Doechii‘s massive hit of the same name.

In the visual, Doechii’s chilling in a bedroom in a nice suburban house when someone breaks the window. She leaves the bedroom and people appear from out of nowhere, grab her and carry her into the living room, as the ninjas smash through the windows. After being placed on the couch with creepy-looking twins, she battles a fire on the stove, a nasty-looking Doberman pinscher and falling chandeliers as the people keep grabbing her and moving her around.

She eventually runs out of the house, where she’s joined by multiple dancers in the street. After dancing with them, she staggers back to the house and approaches the window, where we see Doechii from the beginning of the clip — and understand that it’s Doechii herself who’s broken the window and set the whole visual in motion.

“Anxiety” is based on the Grammy-winning hit “Somebody That I Used to Know” by Gotye featuring Kimbra. Multiple times in Doechii’s video we see a man and a woman wearing the same geometric body paint that Gotye and Kimbra wore in that song’s memorable video.

“Anxiety,” the follow-up to “Denial Is a River,” is Doechii’s first top-10 hit on the Billboard Hot 100.
