(NEW YORK) — The first trailer dropped two months ago, to mixed reactions. Now we’ve got a second trailer for the Ghostbusters reboot, and they’re seriously ramping up the spooky, and the action.
You know the story by now: Kristen Wiig, Melissa McCarthy, Leslie Jones and Kate McKinnon pretty much step into the roles played by Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Harold Ramis and Ernie Hudson in the 1984 original, with Chris Hemsworth playing a hunky but not-too-sharp receptionist, who apparently becomes possessed by a supernatural entity who’s really good at popping wheelies on motorcycles.
As for the plot, everything else appears to be pretty much the same as the original, with some minor changes. But the new trailer has tons of shots of the various ghosts we’ll be seeing laying waste to New York, including cameos from OG Ghostbusters favorites Slimer and the Sta Puft Marshmallow Man.
Ghostbusters opens July 15.
