Image courtesy Universal(NEW YORK) — The third installment of the Bridget Jones’s Diary film series arrives in September and the movie’s second trailer, released Tuesday, gives us a glimpse at the paternity battle brewing in the film.
Bridget Jones’s Baby finds Renee Zellweger’s Bridget pregnant but unsure of the identity of the baby’s father — ex-husband Mark Darcy, played by Colin Firth, or new character Jack Qwant, played by former Grey’s Anatomy star Patrick Dempsey.
The hijinks-filled trailer features plenty of Firth and Dempsey competing to be the baby’s father, with a glimpse of two-time Academy Award winner Emma Thompson cracking wise as Bridget’s obstetrician.
Bridget Jones’s Baby arrives September 16.
