Live Nation EntertainmentShawn Mendes is going to have quite the homecoming next September.

The Grammy nominee’s first stadium show in his hometown of Toronto sold out in minutes when it went on sale.  The September 6 show at the Rogers Centre will wrap up the North American leg of his 2019 world tour, and it’ll be a special show that features both a regular set, and an extended acoustic set.

“This really was a dream come true to play the Rogers Centre in my home town,” Shawn says in a statement. “And now to have sold it out is just incredible and something I could have only ever imagined.”

Shawn also tweeted, “Seems like I wake up everyday living something I was dreaming about just a few years ago. I can’t even begin to describe how grateful I am for everything. This insane. Rogers Centre. Sold out. Thank you.”

The North American leg of Shawn’s tour in support of his self-titled album gets underway June 12 in Portland, OR.  The tour itself will feature the singer playing more than 60 shows in Europe, the U.K., Australia and North America.

Shawn also bid his fans goodbye for a while, tweeting, “Taking a bit of a break from social media the next few weeks to be with friends and family. I adore you guys with all my heart! Happy holidays x.”
