Paramount(NEW YORK) — Cowabunga! Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows came out on top at the box office this weekend.

The sequel to 2014’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, starring Megan Fox and Will Arnett, took in $35.25 million after debuting in theaters Friday. While it was enough to put it at number one this week, it was also a 46-percent drop from the first film’s $65.5 million opening.

Previous box office champ X-Men: Apocalypse fell to number two with just over $22 million. Me Before You, the romantic tearjerker starring Emilia Clarke and Sam Claflin, exceeded expectations to snag the number three spot, with $18.27 million.

The weekend’s other new release — The Lonely Island’s mockumentary, Pop Star: Never Stop Never Stopping — came in at number eight with a disappointing $4.63 million.
