According to The Hollywood Reporter, the singer-songwriter is teaming up with producer J.J. Abrams for a new half-hour dramedy called Little Voice. The show has landed a 10-episode, straight-to-series pick-up from Apple.

The series, which takes its title from Sara’s debut album, will explore the journey of finding your own voice in your early 20s. It’ll be set in New York.

Sara, who’s also hosting the Tony Awards this weekend with Josh Groban, will provide original music for the series as well as executive-producing.

Sara previously wrote the music for the Broadway musical Waitress, in which she also starred for a limited run. She also appeared in NBC’s recent live production of Jesus Christ Superstar as Mary Magdalene.
