(NEW YORK) — Could Lupita Nyong’o be the latest star to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe?
The Academy Award-winning actress could be starring in Marvel’s upcoming Black Panther.
According to Variety, Nyong’o is in talks to play the love interest of Chadwick Boseman’s superhero character, T’Challa, aka Black Panther, who was introduced in the current blockbuster Captain America: Civil War.
Ryan Coogler, who directed Creed and Fruitvale Station, is on board to direct the standalone film.
Black Panther will be released February 16, 2018 by Disney, the parent company of ABC News.
