Mmmm chop: Hanson disses Bieber music as “Chlamydia of the ear”

ABC/Paula LoboFor usually clean-cut guys, brothers Isaac, Taylor and Zac Hanson took a rather icky swipe at Justin Bieber‘s music, calling it “Chlamydia of the ear.”

In an interview with Australian radio station Hit 107, the Hanson brothers were playing a game called “Whose Song Is It Anyway?” when a Biebs song was played.

Hanson then admitted they don’t listen to much “modern music,” and they whiffed when “Despacito” — the biggest pop song in Australia and most other places — was played during the game.

“Can I just say I’m glad I didn’t know what that was. I prefer not to get any venereal diseases so whenever Justin Bieber gets near me or near my ears,” Zac said, to laughter.

The brothers, who were amused by the stat that most koalas have chlamydia, then related it back to Biebs. “It’s like hanging out with a koala,” Taylor added.

“It’s just ear infections, they’re terrible,” Zac piled on.

“Chlamydia of the ear, it sucks,” Isaac added.

Hanson have upcoming shows in Sydney and Brisbane.  We’re guessing it’s unlikely Justin will make an appearance onstage.
