Terence Patrick/CBS ©2017 CBS Broadcasting, Inc.One Direction‘s Harry Styles just dropped his first solo album and is spending the week in residency as musical guest on The Late Late Show with James Corden.

At the beginning of the show, host James Corden announced the news that Harry will be joining him for a special car ride sing-along, saying, “I’ve arranged for Mr. Harry Styles, he’s going to help me get to work on Thursday in a brand new Carpool Karaoke, you don’t want to miss it.”

The 23-year-old Harry first appeared in a cold open which had him arriving at the studio and having to prove his identity to a belligerent female security guard who didn’t believe him. Exasperated, Harry stared longingly at her which naturally turned her to marshmallow, so she let him in.

Harry then appeared on the show as a guest, along with Aaron Taylor-Johnson and during the interview, talked about his new, self-titled album, and taking his first stage dive, which he wasn’t particularly thrilled about.

Harry had an awkward moment when Taylor-Johnson mentioned that he kept chickens, and that all of them are named after the Kardashians, which he calls Kardashikens. Harry remained silent and coughed briefly when Taylor-Johnson, referring to eggs, said that they “lay every day.” Harry coughed and gulped from his coffee mug and said nothing when Corden asked him point-blank if “they lay every day,” making a reference to Harry’s ex Kendall Jenner.

Harry later returned to perform the single from his new album, the Bowie-esque “Sign of the Times.”

The Late Late Show with James Corden airs weeknights on CBS.
