Ed Sheeran announces North American stadium tour, will appear on MTV’s “TRL” premiere

Greg WilliamsEd Sheeran has played stadiums in Europe, but now he’s taking his show to stadiums in North America.

The first date of the tour is August 18, 2018 at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, CA and the trek will continue into November, wrapping up November 10 at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, GA.  Ed is teaming with Ticketmaster to use its VerifiedFan system for tickets to these shows.  Registration for that system is now open and will close on Thursday, October 12 at 10 p.m. ET. 

Fan presales start October 16 at 10 a.m. local time; tickets go on sale to the general public on October 20 at 10 a.m. local time.

In other Ed Sheeran news, he’ll be a guest on the rebooted version of MTV’s TRL, which returns October 2.  He debuted his new single, “Perfect,” on ABC’s Good Morning America Monday morning.  He wrote on Instagram that it’s “the song I’m most proud of from this album.”
