‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3’ tops Fandango Most Anticipated Movies poll

Marvel StudiosWith the year about to wrap up, online ticket seller Fandango quizzed more than 5,000 users to see which movies they can't wait to see in theaters in 2023 — and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, opening May 5, topped the list. What's more, one of the Marvel Studios movie's stars, Chris Pratt, was named the Most Anticipated Hero of 2023. On the flip side of that, Melissa McCarthy as Ursula in The Little Mermaid live-action film was dubbed the Most Anticipated Villain of 2023. Coming in second in the anticipated movies poll was Spider Man: Across the Spider-Verse, the follow-up to the Oscar-winning animated original. Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania ranked third; John Wick: Chapter 4 placed, appropriately, fourth; and Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny rounded out the top five. The poll also revealed 97% say they expect to go to the movie theater more often in 2023 than in 2022, with 84% admitting they plan to see six or more movies on the big screen ..

Edie Falco thought ‘Avatar: The Way of Water’ flopped because she shot it so...

ABCThe sequel Avatar: The Way of Water just hit theaters Friday, but apparently that was news to one of its stars, Emmy winner Edie Falco. During an appearance on The View, Falco says she shot her parts of the long-in-development movie a long time ago, so she thought the movie already came out some time ago and bombed. "I shot [it] I think four years ago," the Sopranos vet explained. "And then I’ve been busy doing stuff and somebody mentioned Avatar and I thought, 'Oh, I guess it came out and didn't do very well.' Because I hadn’t heard anything. I thought, 'Oh, well, it happens!'" Falco says, cracking up the chat show's co-hosts. Falco continued, "And then someone recently said, 'Oh, Avatar is coming out!' I said, 'It hasn't come out yet?!'" In fact, the movie is doing pretty well: The sequel has made more than $440 million worldwide so far. Falco, who plays one of the rare human characters in the film, did have a complaint: ..

"We're so grateful for the fan base that we have, that we've had from the beginning. And they're so enthusiastic. And I always say Best Man fans are the best." De Souza continues, "They are so supportive and they just really, really are excited. I mean, they're not even, like, pretending and they're the ones who made this happen!" Sharon Osbourne shopping and “doing great” after “medical emergency”

CBS/Monty BrintonSharon Osbourne is obviously back on her feet after being rushed to the hospital for a "medical emergency" over the weekend. As reported, The Osbournes matriarch fell ill while shooting a paranormal-themed show with her son Jack, who later updated the stay was brief, and his "mum" was back home. Page Six reports former The Talk co-host Sharon was seen shopping at the James Perse store in Beverly Hills on Monday, and seemingly back to her feisty self: The publication noted she "seemed irritated" at the paparazzi who snapped her picture. Osbourne later updated fans with a cheery Christmas tree picture on Instagram featuring a smiling Husky dog, noting, "Back home and doing great! Thank you for all the ❤️." Amanda Klootz and Carrie Ann Inaba were among the first of tens of thousands to chime in with their relief in the replies. Jack Osbourne noted on a now-vanished Instagram Story on Saturday that he was, "gonna leave it to [his mom] to share about when she is ready." ..

Matt Damon says he lost out on $250 million for refusing ‘Avatar’, director James...

Stella Artois(NOTE LANGUAGE) Matt Damon missed out on a cool $250 million dollar payday when he turned down the starring role in Avatar and director James Cameron can't help but to laugh. Cameron originally pitched Damon to star in the 2009 film and even offered him a 10% cut of box office profits, Damon revealed in 2021 while at Cannes Film Festival. Given that the film went on to gross over $2.9 billion, that would have equaled a payday of over $250 million. “I will go down in history... you will never meet an actor who turned down more money," Damon said at the time, according to Deadline. In a recent BBC interview, Cameron was asked about the actor, and he immediately erupted in laughter. "He’s beating himself up over this and I really think you know, 'Matt you’re kind of like one of the biggest movie stars in the world, get over it,'" Cameron said before explaining why Damon had to turn the film down. "He had to do another ‘Bourne’ film which was on his runwa..

Harvey Weinstein found guilty of rape in Los Angeles sex assault trial

Etienne Laurent-Pool/Getty ImagesA Los Angeles jury has found disgraced Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein guilty on three of seven counts, including rape, in his Los Angeles sexual assault trial. The jury found Weinstein not guilty on one count, and it was hung on three counts. The jury will return Tuesday to hear arguments on special findings. Weinstein initially faced 11 counts in the trial, but four charges relating to Jane Doe No. 5, including two counts of forcible rape and two counts of forcible oral copulation, were dropped by the prosecution. The 70-year-old former movie executive pleaded not guilty and has said all of the encounters were consensual. The four women all testified during the trial, including Jennifer Siebel Newsom, the wife of California Gov. Gavin Newsom. Siebel Newsom was referred to as Jane Doe No. 4 during the trial, but she has been publicly identified by her lawyer. The jury took some 40 hours over 10 days to reach their decision. The trial in Los ..

James Gunn fires back at “disrespectful outcry” over DC movie decisions

Gunn, Safran -- Warner Bros. DiscoveryIt was announced last week that Henry Cavill would not return as Superman after all in Warner Bros. Discovery's DC Comics-based universe, and ever since, fans have been vocal about it online. Actually, it's getting downright nasty out there, with much of the ire coming from director Zack Snyder's rabid fanbase and aimed at James Gunn, one of the two guys in charge of the costumed heroes' fates. Gunn and his producing partner Peter Safran have apparently nixed Cavill, and likely Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman, and are reportedly mulling a new role for Jason Momoa after his second Aquaman movie opens. Further, Gunn has talked to Ben Affleck about stepping behind the camera and evidently not back into the batsuit as he'd done for Snyder. Numerous "Snyderverse" fans started posting box office numbers and Rotten Tomatoes scores of the previous Warner Bros. DC movies, including Aquaman and Wonder Woman, versus those from Gunn&#..
