Thor: Ragnarok — Chris Hemsworth returns for his third solo outing as the titular character, teamed up this time with his Avengers partner the Hulk — played by Mark Ruffalo. He must also race against time to save Asgard from the all-powerful Hela — portrayed by Cate Blanchett. Tom Hiddleston and Jeff Goldblum also star. Rated PG-13.

* A Bad Moms Christmas — Mila Kunis, Kristen Bell and Kathryn Hahn return as three over-burdened and under-appreciated ladies in this sequel to the 2016 comedy Bad Moms. This time, the women contend with their own mothers visiting for the holidays. Susan Sarandon, Christine Baranski and Cheryl Hines also star. Rated R. (NOTE CONTENT AND MILD PROFANITY IN TRAILER)
