Swifter than a rocket sled: Taylor shows off her unique mode of tour transportation

TAS Rights ManagementTaylor Swift has already told fans that she’ll have not one, not two but three stages on her Reputation stadium tour, which is kicking off on Tuesday night.  Thursday, she revealed on her Instagram Story how she plans to travel between those three stages: She’s taking a rocket sled.

“It goes underneath the stage and takes me from one place really quickly to another place and the stage is so big that I guess…we need that?” says Taylor.

Next, we see Taylor standing backstage, describing how she’ll change outfits and then make her way to the sled. She descends down the steps, lies down flat on her back on the sled, which kind of looks like an Olympic luge, and then disappears inside a tunnel.

To get a sense of exactly why Taylor needs the rocket sled to get around, the main stage for the Reputation stadium tour is 110 feet tall — the biggest she’s has ever used — while the two “B” stages are each as big as the main stage she used for the 1989 tour.

“I can’t believe it’s so close,” Taylor says, noting that the tour kickoff is only six days away. “It’s really coming together and I’m so excited to show you.”
