Gonzo MultimediaEx-Yes keyboardist Rick Wakeman has shared a brand-new performance video on his official YouTube channel.

The clip shows Wakeman playing the solo piano instrumental "The Temperament of Mind (Part 1)," an original composition that first appeared on the 1970 Strawbs album Just a Collection of Antiques and Curios.

Meanwhile, Wakeman also posted a video message over the weekend on YouTube in which he shares some news about his upcoming plans.

The 71-year-old Rock & Roll Hall of Famer points out that he's booked a U.K. holiday tour — dubbed "The Even Grumpier Old Christmas Show" — that's scheduled to run from November 28 to December 21, and he's hopeful that the trek, which was postponed from last year because of COVID-19, will move ahead is planned.

Explaining the tour's title, Rick quips, "I'm still grumpy, but I'm not as grumpy as I was when it was all canceled last year."

He adds that a series of concerts he'd lined up with his solo band to support his 2020 studio album, The Red Planet, that also were canceled because of the pandemic, are expected to be rescheduled in 2022.

In addition, Wakeman says he's working on a new album project with his solo group, adding that he plans to enlist U.K. singer/sax player Hayley Sanderson to lend her vocal talents to the record.

Rick also reports that multiple archival box sets are being prepared for release, one of which focuses on his 1999 concept album, Return to the Centre of the Earth.

Wakeman says he's "so proud" of the box set, noting that it "contains some live versions, the only known ones that were done in Canada, some great interviews and some [other] great things."
