The FAA told ABC News in a statement that the Gulfstream Aerospace G-IV aircraft landed safely at Stewart International Airport in New Windsor, NY just before 4 p.m. on Tuesday. ABC News has confirmed that Post was indeed on the flight, along with 15 other people.
The rapper tweeted, “i landed guys. thank you for your prayers. can’t believe how many people wished death on me on this website. f*** you. but not today.”
Post originally took off from New Jersey’s Teterboro Airport and was on his way to London. But when the tires blew off, the pilot prepared for an emergency landing. The plane was forced to circle an airport in Massachusetts for several hours to burn fuel — some 3,700 gallons — in case the aircraft had to crash-land.
On Monday night, Post won Song of the Year for his hit “Rockstar” and also performed with 21 Savage and Aerosmith.
