Pink pauses Brisbane, Australia show to hug grieving young fan who just lost her mom

ABC/Lou RoccoPink brought some comfort to a grieving fan at her concert in Brisbane, Australia on Monday.

According to ABC News in Australia, the singer stopped her show to hug the 14-year-old fan, who had recently lost her mom.

The girl, Leah Murphy, says she was supposed to attend the concert with her mom, Debbie, but her mom passed away in June. Her aunt, Katrina Donkin, accompanied her to the show and made posters in an attempt to get Pink’s attention.

The posters worked, and the crowds moved aside so Leah and Katrina could make it to the front row. Pink hopped down from the stage and embraced the teen, who cried in her arms. Pink told Leah that everything would be O.K., took a selfie with her and signed her arm with a marker.

When Pink returned to the stage, she reminded everyone to call their moms.

Donkin says the moment meant so much to Leah.

“She’s just a huge, huge fan of Pink, and so was her mum, so it was just amazing she took the time to give her a hug,” she said.
