Interscope RecordsPhillip Phillips is back with some big news. The former American Idol winner has announced a new single, a new album and a headlining tour.
The single is called “Magnetic.” It’s a bluesy groove about an irresistible love interest. The song will be featured on Phillip’s third album, Collateral, which is set for a January 19 release.
“I’m excited to show people who the new Phillip is,” Phillip says in a statement. “These songs tell the stories about the past three years — all the good, all the bad, all the sad, all the happy. I promise this next release is worth the wait.”
Following the album’s release, Phillip will be embarking on a U.S. headlining tour kicking off February 9 in Cherokee, North Carolina. Tickets go on sale beginning Friday, November 10.
