Lady Gaga‘s sure come a long way since the days she wore a meat dress, a coat made of Kermit the Frog dolls and an outfit made out of bubbles: The singer’s made British Vogue‘s list of the 10 Best Dressed Women of 2018.
Why the turnaround? Well, Gaga’s had to walk many a red carpet this past year while promoting A Star Is Born, and so her looks had to be super-glamorous. British Vogue also notes that the singer got two new head stylists this year, who dressed her in Valentino, Alexander McQueen, Marc Jacobs, Givenchy, Armani and Alaïa. Writes the magazine, “A star has indeed been born.”
The only other musician on Vogue‘s list is Rihanna, for her show-stopping Pope-inspired Met Gala look, as well as her red carpet couture looks from her press tour for the movie Ocean’s 8. The mag also gives her kudos for being one of the first to wear Virgil Abloh’s new Louis Vuitton designs, and for dominating the lingerie market with her new signature Savage X Fenty line.
Others on British Vogue’s list: Emma Stone, Saoirse Ronan, Duchess Meghan, Zendaya, Tracee Ellis Ross and Zoë Kravitz.
