The singer confirmed her engagement to boyfriend Christian Carino Monday night at Elle’s 25th annual Women in Hollywood Celebration in L.A.
Gaga, who was being honored at the event, thanked “my fiancé Christian” during her speech.
She and the 49-year-old talent agent were first confirmed to be dating in February 2017, and earlier this month it was rumored that the two were engaged. Gaga was previously engaged to actor Taylor Kinney before they split in 2016.
Also in her speech Monday, Gaga emotionally discussed sexual assault and mental health. She explained that her decision to wear an oversized Marc Jacobs pantsuit to the event was one of female empowerment.
“As a sexual assault survivor by someone in the entertainment industry, as a woman who is still not brave enough to say his name, as a woman who lives with chronic pain, as a woman who from a very young age who was conditioned to do what men told me to do, I decided today I wanted to take the power back,” she said. “Today I wear the pants.”
