Kesha’s going down to the “Crossroads” with Old Crow Medicine Show

1009

CMTKesha is a huge fan of both country music and Bob Dylan, which explains why she’ll be starring on an upcoming episode of CMT Crossroads with Americana band Old Crow Medicine Show.

In 2004, Old Crow Medicine Show released a song called “Wagon Wheel,” which they created after their lead singer, Ketch Secor, added verses to a chorus written by Bob Dylan.  Also, Old Crow’s latest album and DVD, 50 Years of Blonde on Blonde, pays tribute to Bob Dylan’s iconic 1966 album Blonde on Blonde.

Kesha showed off her love of Dylan at the 2016 Billboard Music Awards when she performed his classic “It Ain’t Me Babe.”  As for her country music cred, her latest album, Rainbow, includes a duet with Dolly Parton on a remake of Dolly’s hit, “Old Flames (Can’t Hold a Candle to You),” which was co-written by Kesha’s mother, Pebe  Sebert.

Kesha and Old Crow Medicine Show stage their episode of CMT Crossroads Tuesday in Music City. You catch the show’s premiere Wednesday, December 6 at 10 p.m. ET.
