NBC/Andrew Lipovsky(NEW YORK) — On Monday’s Tonight Show, host Jimmy Fallon dusted off his Bruce Springsteen impersonation for a parody of The Boss’ version of the holiday classic, “Santa Claus Is Comin’ to Town, called “Robert Mueller’s Comin’ to Town.”

The parody — inspired by the Mueller-led probe into Russian election meddling — featured Fallon dressed as a 1980s-era Springsteen, wearing a denim shirt, bandana and sunglasses.

“Winds whippin’ ’round the White House — you guys been good this year?” he began. “Everybody in the Trump administration been good, or what? It’s not many, it’s not many.”

“You better watch out, you better not cry/ You better not lie to the FBI,” sang Fallon in a spot-on Bruce voice. “Robert Mueller’s comin’ to town, Robert Mueller’s comin’ to town.”

Fallon last did his Springsteen impression back in 2014, when — joined by the real Bruce — he performed a sendup targetting New Jersey Governor Chris Christie’s 2013 “Bridgegate” scandal, in which he allegedly ordered lane closures on the Georg Washington Bridge, snarling traffic in the town of Fort Lee.
