(NEW YORK) — Let the guessing begin! Oscar-winning actor Jim Broadbent will join the Game of Thrones cast for season seven.
There’s no word yet on the role he’ll play, but Entertainment Weekly reports his role will be “significant.”
Though Broadbent, 67, won the Best Supporting Actor Academy Award in 2001 for his role in Iris, the venerated U.K. actor is probably more familiar to U.S. audiences for his appearances as Professor Horace Slughorn in the Harry Potter films. He’s also played Bridget Jones’ dad in the Bridget Jones films, a role he reprises in the forthcoming Bridget Jones’s Baby, due out September 16.
The second-to-last season of Game of Thrones will premiere on HBO next summer.
