DJ Khaled’s son Asahd turns one, has already lived a better life than you

ABC/Image Group LAHere’s a wild thought: DJ Khaled’s son Asahd turns one today, but he’s already accomplished more than most of us probably ever will in our lifetimes.

Sure, we all laughed when Khaled made Asahd the executive producer of his latest album, Grateful, and put him on the album cover, but he’s got the last laugh: the disc has sold more than a million copies and spun off two monster hits, “I’m the One” and “Wild Thoughts.”  As the executive producer, Asahd gets royalties on all those sales.

In his young life, Asahd has also accompanied his dad to all the biggest, most prestigious music events, and he’s always dressed to the nines: at the MTV VMAs, he sported a Gucci outfit that cost over two thousand dollars. Oh, and did we mention that he has 1.6 million Instagram followers?

Khaled told Jimmy Kimmel not long ago that Asahd has changed his life; he’s finally happy. He also said he plans on “throwing the biggest birthday party” for the boy, with some help from Puff Daddy.

Khaled gives Asahd all the credit for his current success on the charts, too.  He told ABC Radio, “He’s the reason these records are coming out so big,  y’know what I’m sayin’?  My son is my biggest blessing and it’s just the energy that he’s given me that I can translate to the artists and to the world and my fans…that’s what’s happening right now.”

“When you put love out there, you get love back,” he added. “And that’s the energy that’s going on right now.  That’s all I represent. Love is the key!”
