Eight-month-old Asahd has an executive producer credit on Khaled’s upcoming album Grateful, and on Monday, the baby gave his first ever TV interview — on ABC’s Live with Kelly and Ryan. After Asahd’s big debut, Khaled told ABC Radio that he’s taught the budding star what it means “to be great.”
“He’s born great. He’s born blessed,” said Khaled. “But I just remind him how great and how blessed he is.”
“I tell him everyday, ‘You’re the biggest mogul. You’re self-made. You’re blessed. You’re the greatest that ever did it. You’re a young icon. You’re a legend. You’re handsome. You’re my son.'”
Khaled continues, “I’m feeding him them great words and greatness and…it’s my biggest blessing. You know, I thank God every day for it.”
You’ll have to wait until June 23, the date Grateful arrives everywhere, to hear just how well Asahd and DJ Khaled worked together as a father-son executive-producing duo. The disc, featuring “I’m the One” and “To the Max,” is available to pre-order now.
