We may be getting new music from Ariana Grande a week early.  Initially, Ari’s new single was scheduled to arrive on April 27, but it appears it’s been moved up to this Friday.

Ariana broke her self-imposed social media hiatus on Tuesday, first to tweet a tear-shaped emoji, then the message “missed you,” and finally, a title, “No Tears Left to Cry,” along with an April 20 release date.

It’s not clear whether “No Tears Left to Cry” is the name of a single that’s coming out on Friday, or the name of an album, the details of which will be released this Friday.  Either way, it’ll be Ariana’s first new music since the bombing that killed more than 20 people outside her concert in Manchester, England on May 22.

As previously reported, the singer’s new album was produced half by Pharrell and half by Max Martin, and for the first time, Ariana co-wrote every song.  It’s said to be her most personal work to date, and the title “No Tears Left to Cry” seems to suggest those reports are true.

Ariana new album, when it appears, will be the follow-up to 2016’s Dangerous Woman, which produced the hits “Into You,” “Side to Side” and the title track.

Ari’s last major public appearance was performing “Be Alright” at last month’s March For Our Lives gun control rally in Washington, D.C.
