Ed Sheeran’s ‘TikTok UEFA EURO 2020’ show breaks viewing records for a live music...

Zakary Walters Sorry, Justin Bieber: Ed Sheeran's the new king of TikTok -- at least when it comes to live musical performances. Ed's TikTok UEFA EURO 2020 show, which was streamed on Friday June 25 from Portman Road, the home stadium of Ed's local Ipswich Town soccer team, drew more than 5.5 million unique viewers across the first live stream and two replays on Saturday. According to TikTok, that breaks the record of four million views set by Justin Bieber during his Journals LIVE performance back in February. The special featured the live premiere of Ed's new single, "Bad Habits," as well as performances of past hits like "A Team," "Sing," "Shape of You" and "Visiting Hours," the song he introduced earlier this year at the funeral of his friend, Australian concert promoter Michael Gudinski. The concert marked the first full show Ed's ever done with a live band. The event also featured augmented reality that integrated with the soccer stadium backdrop, a..

Via his attorney, Britney Spears’ ex Kevin Federline weighs in on her conservatorship

Britney Spears & Kevin Federline in Feb. 2006/J.Sciulli/WireImage for Ogilvy Public Relations Now that we've heard from Britney Spears' sister, her former boyfriend and her former colleague -- that would be Jamie Lynn Spears, Justin Timberlake and Christina Aguilera -- it's time to hear what Britney's ex-husband and the father of her children has to say about the singer's conservatorship. Speaking to People magazine, Mark Vincent Kaplan, Kevin Federline's divorce attorney, discussed his client's thoughts on a situation that Britney called "abusive" in court last week. "The best thing would be for their mom to be healthy and happy," Kaplan says of the former couple's teen sons Sean Preston and Jayden James. "And if either of those things aren't true, it doesn't provide for the best setting for custody to be exercised." "[Kevin] certainly respects Britney and only hopes the best for her because when the best for her is achieved, it&..

Katy Perry headed to Capri, Italy, for UNICEF charity gala

Kevin Mazur/Getty Images for UNICEF Katy Perry and her family recently visited Venice, Italy, on vacation, but next month, she's headed to the island of Capri for a good cause. Women's Wear Daily reports that Katy and John Legend will both perform at a UNICEF charity gala hosted by the high-end luxury fashion brand LuisaViaRoma on July 31 in a 14th-century monastery on the Italian island. The gala will raise money for various UNICEF projects across the world, and since Katy has been a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador since 2013, it makes sense that she would be involved. In addition to musical performances, the star-studded event, whose guest list also includes Vanessa Hudgens, Heidi Klum and Borat star Maria Bakalova, will feature dinner and cocktails, as well as a live auction of luxury items and experiences. Perhaps during their time in Capri, John and Katy can discuss their different approaches to judging reality singing competitions. Copyright © 2021, ABC Audio. All ..

Olivia Rodrigo defended by Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Elvis Costello after ripoff...

Olivia: Erica Hernandez; Elvis: Steve Granitz/WireImage A few days ago, '90s rocker Courtney Love accused Olivia Rodrigo of copying the imagery from her band Hole's album Live Through This; Love seemed pretty upset about it. But when a fan accused Olivia of ripping off a song by Elvis Costello, the Rock and Roll Hall of Famer took it in stride. On Twitter, a fan tweeted a link to a story about the Olivia/Courtney controversy, and wrote, "No s**t. First song on the album is a pretty much direct lift from Elvis Costello." The fan was referring to Olivia's song "brutal," which features an opening chord sequence that's very similar to the keyboard part in the beginning of Costello's 1978 song, "Pump It Up." But Costello himself replied to the fan, explaining that popular music itself is derivative. "This is fine by me, Billy. It’s how rock and roll works," Costello wrote. "You take the broken pieces of another thrill and make a brand new toy. That’s what I did..
