Hear Alessia Cara’s new song for ‘PAW Patrol: The Movie’

Spin Master Entertainment Following the news that Alessia Cara had recorded a new song for the upcoming animated film PAW Patrol: The Movie, the song has now been officially released. Called "The Use in Trying," the song carries a message of encouragement, urging the listener not to give up, because you'll learn a valuable lesson if you keep on pushing. "Hold your head up/You'll find your way home/You won't get what you give sometimes," Alessia sings. "When the dust all settles/And the smoke all clears up/There's pieces of yourself you're gonna find/Maybe that's the use in trying." As previously reported, Alessia wrote the song for a specific scene in the movie that emphasizes "the importance of courage." "I wanted to write something that could not only teach kids that they’re not always going to win, but that there’s real value in trying anyways because of the lessons you find on the other side," she explained. Guess who won Pink’s family Summer Olympics?

Kevin Mazur/Getty Images for dcp In honor of the recently concluded Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Pink and her family recently staged their own version of the games in their backyard pool -- and let's just say Pink isn't the type of mom who lets her kids win. On Instagram, Pink wrote, "Had some Family Olympics at home today and even made some sushi in honor of Tokyo!" She then added the hashtags "#mamawongold" and "#betterluckinfouryearswills" -- the latter referring to her nine-year-old daughter, Willow. And sure enough, the pictures in the post show Pink and Willow posing in the pool: Pink is clutching a fake gold medal between her teeth, while Willow does the same with a silver one. There's also a shot of some tasty looking sushi. While Willow might not be fast enough to beat her mom swimming, she was deemed worthy enough to join her onstage at the recent Billboard Music Awards, where they performed an aerial routine to Pink's latest hit, "All I Know So Far." ..

Beyoncé confirms new music on the way: “Yes, the music is coming!”

Campbell Addy In a new cover story with Harper’s Bazaar, Beyoncé confirms that new music is indeed on its way. “With all the isolation and injustice over the past year, I think we are all ready to escape, travel, love, and laugh again,” she tells the mag. “I feel a renaissance emerging, and I want to be part of nurturing that escape in any way possible.” She adds that she’s been in the studio for a year and a half, meticulously crafting new songs. “Sometimes it takes a year for me to personally search through thousands of sounds to find just the right kick or snare,” she says. “One chorus can have up to 200 stacked harmonies.” Beyoncé says making music still feels “just as exciting as it did when I was nine years old” and nothing compares to “the amount of love, passion, and healing that I feel in the recording studio.” “Yes, the music is coming!” she says.
