The Jonas Brothers and James Corden spoof Disney origin stories

Terence Patrick/CBS ©2021 CBS Broadcasting, Inc. All Rights Reserved They’re the origin stories you didn’t know you needed. Ahead of the release of Disney’s Cruella, James Corden teamed up with the Jonas Brothers on The Late Late Show to spoof some other potential live-action prequels. One tells the gritty tale of how Eeyore from Winnie the Pooh became so depressed. It stars Joe Jonas as Eeyore, with Kevin Jonas as Pooh and Nick Jonas as Tigger. As bills pile up, Eeyore decides to make some extra cash as a drug mule, and things go downhill from there. In another parody, Corden stars as Tony, the Italian chef from Lady and the Tramp, in a film called Spaghettabout It. And in the most obscure origin story of the bunch, Kevin reveals the dark backstory of the woman who yells “I need six eggs!” in the opening musical number of Beauty and the Beast. That one gets the title Six Eggs Away from Six Feet Under. Copyright © 2021, ABC Audio. All rights reserved.

Duncan Laurence explains the excitement and the loss that inspired “Arcade”

Paul Bellaart After winning the 2019 Eurovision Song Contest with his song "Arcade," Duncan Laurence is now seeing it become a hit in the U.S. Duncan, who's from the Netherlands, says "Arcade," was inspired by several things that happened when he was young: Moving to a different city, and losing a family friend. As a kid, Duncan moved from a small town to Tilburg, a bigger city that each year hosts the biggest fair in Europe each year. "To me the whole city felt like an arcade, just this whole new place full of opportunities and full of new life," he explains. Duncan says he pictured himself, a small town boy, who was "just seeing all these things, these flashing lights, but also falling in love for the first time, finding out who he is, falling in love with his music." That's how he came up with the arcade imagery in the song's lyrics, but it was another childhood incident that helped inspire the lyrics about lost love. "A friend of the family, when I was younger,..

Courtesy of HBO Max (SPOILER ALERT) Smelly Cat’s out of the bag! Lady Gaga will be performing “Smelly Cat” with Lisa Kudrow on the Friends reunion special, debuting on HBO Max Thursday. The show’s director Ben Winston confirmed the news to Variety. “I said to Lisa, ‘Would you be prepared to sing it?’ And she was like, ‘Yeah, that would be fun,’” Winston said of the classic Phoebe song. “We went through a few names, and we both agreed that Gaga, if we could get her, would be the ultimate one because she associates with and feels close to Phoebe in so many ways, as Gaga says on the show,” he adds. “That was a really beautiful moment. And Lady Gaga jumped at the chance to do it.” He says the two barely rehearsed the special moment. “We sat there with the two guitars with Lisa and her and worked it out there and then,” Winston said.
