Marvel Studios/Disney(NEW YORK) — The summer movie season has begun with the release Thursday night of Marvel’s latest film: Captain America: Civil War.
The movie follows up on Captain America: The Winter Soldier and Avengers: Age of Ultron. Chris Evans’ titular character clashes with Robert Downey Jr.‘s Iron Man over a controversial government policy intended to regulate the superheroes. Iron Man is in favor of governmental oversight, Captain America isn’t.
Other Marvel favorites are back as well: Scarlett Johansson, as Black Widow; Jeremy Renner, as Hawkeye; Anthony Mackie, as Falcon; Don Cheadle, as War Machine; Elizabeth Olsen, as Scarlet Witch; Paul Rudd, as Ant-Man; Sebastian Stan, as Winter Soldier; and Paul Bettany, as Vision.
We also get our first look at British actor Tom Holland as Spider-Man, and Chadwick Boseman as Black Panther.
Captain America: Civil War is rated PG-13. Marvel is owned by Disney, the parent company of ABC News.
