Darren BradeLast year, when Justin Timberlake starred in the animated movie Trolls, he ended up with a box office smash and an Oscar nomination for the song “Can’t Stop the Feeling!”  It’s no wonder he and his character, Branch, are back, just in time for the holidays.

While the full-fledged Trolls sequel won’t arrive in theaters until 2020, a half-hour animated musical special called DreamWorks Trolls Holiday will air November 24 on NBC.  In addition to Justin, the special will also feature Anna Kendrick returning as Poppy and Zooey Deschanel returning as Bridget.

In the special, Kendrick’s Poppy finds out that the Bergens — the Trolls’ enemies-turned-friends — don’t have any holidays, and sets out to fix that, with the help of Branch and the Snack Pack.

After the special premieres on NBC, it’ll be available on with bonus features on DVD and digital on November 28, and on Netflix December 6.

The most exciting news, though, is that there will also be a soundtrack to go along with the special.  Called Trolls Holiday, the seven-track collection will arrive on October 27 and will feature music from Justin, as well as the rest of the cast.

Still want more Trolls?  A new animated series called DreamWorks Trolls: The Beat Goes On premieres on Netflix January 19.  Poppy and Branch are also part of that series, but it’s not clear if they’ll continue to be voiced by Justin and Anna Kendrick.
