Bighit EntertainmentBTS continues to dominate after the K-pop band debuted their third album, Love Yourself: Answer at the top of the Billboard 200 chart — their second album to do so.
The 14-track album sold 185,000 equivalent units after dropping August 24, with 141,000 in traditional album sales. It was the largest sales week for the Korean band to date.
In May, the band became the first Korean act to hit No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart with their album Love Yourself: Tear, which moved 135,000 units in its first week, according to Billboard. In 2017, their album, Love Yourself: Her entered the top ten, peaking at number seven.
Her, Tear, and Love are all performed predominantly in Korean with a few English lyrics throughout. But, Nicki Minaj does make an appearance on the latest album in a remix of “Idol.”
Travis Scott’s Astroworld falls to second place on the Billboard 200 chart, with Drake’s Scorpion and Ariana Grande’s Sweetener taking third and fourth place respectively.
