Bieber beats the Beatles, thanks to simultaneous top-three hits

According to Billboard, Justin has had two songs in the top three of the Hot 100 for the past five weeks: “Despacito,” his collabo with Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee, and “I’m the One,” his all-star collaboration with DJ Khaled and a number of top rappers.

On top of that, last year, Justin had two songs in the top three at the same time for eight weeks — “Sorry” and “Love Yourself.”  That makes a total of 13 weeks that Justin’s had two songs in the top three, and that’s where Bieber beats the Beatles.

The Beatles only had 12 such weeks in their brief but incredible career: in 1964, and again in 1969.

As if that weren’t enough, Justin may score yet another hit on next week’s Hot 100, as his new collaboration with David Guetta, “2U,” is expected to debut in the chart’s upper reaches.
