Backstreet Boys say come see us in Vegas, ’cause there won’t be a US tour for a while

ABC/Paula LoboHelpful hint to all the Backstreets Boys fans out there: See them in Las Vegas while you can, because it may be quite a while before you’ll be able to see them play live anywhere else.

The guys return to their Larger than Life residency tonight at Planet Hollywood’s Zappos Theater, and they say once it wraps next spring, it’ll be a long time before they tour the U.S. again.

“The residency extended a little bit into next year and then once that residency is finished, then we’re gonna look to tour, but it’s gonna be in Europe and we won’t be back to the U.S. for a long time,” Kevin Richardson tells ABC Radio.

Nick Carter chimes in, “So come to Vegas, ’cause that’s the only time you’re gonna see us! For a while.”

If it’s any consolation, BSB has been together for 25 years and has no plans of stopping any time soon.

“It’s been an awesome journey,” AJ McLean says. “We’ve been through everything you could think of together — highs, lows, good times, bad times. We’ve been on this journey now for 25 years and hopefully we have 25 more.”

He adds, “It’s a testament to the music, it’s a testament to the fans and it’s a testament to each other. We’re still having fun, we love what we do, we’re passionate about and we’re excited for a brand new album, y’know, back in Vegas and things are going great.”

For this new run of shows in Vegas, the guys will be adding their new single “Don’t Go Breaking My Heart” to the set list. They have plans to release a full-length album this fall.
