NBC/Eric LiebowitzAriana Grande, Adam Lambert and Pentatonix were among the stars who helped NBC salute the 15th anniversary of the hit Broadway musical Wicked with the special A Very Wicked Halloween.

The show, which aired on Monday, was hosted by original Wicked stars Kristen Chenoweth and Idina Menzel, who shared stories and trivia about the Tony Award-winning musical.

Lambert, who was in both the show’s first touring company and its L.A. production, teamed up with Grammy-winner Ledisi for “As Long as You’re Mine;” Pentatonix performed “What is This Feeling; and Ariana sang “The Wizard and I.”

Chenoweth introduced Grande’s performance with a story about meeting the cast backstage when she was just nine year’s old. The moment was captured in a photograph shown on a huge screen behind them.

“I gave her a wand and I’ve been mentoring her ever since,” added Chenowith.

A Wizard of Oz prequel, Wicked tells the story of the future Wicked Witch of the West: green-skinned Elphaba, who is bullied and misunderstood. She becomes rivals, and then friends, with the popular Galinda, the future Good Witch of the North.
