Neal PrestonFollowing the news that Lady Gaga‘s first big film, A Star Is Born, will have its world premiere at the Venice International Film Festival, it’s been announced that the movie’s North American premiere will take place at yet another festival.

The Toronto International Film Festival will screen the movie, directed by and co-starring Bradley Cooper, between September 6 and 16, though an exact date and time has yet to be announced.  It’ll be part of the festivals Gala Program, along with other new movies from the likes of Gravity director Alfonso Cuaron, 12 Years a Slave director Steve McQueen, La La Land director Damien Chazelle, and Moonlight director Barry Jenkins.

As previously reported, this is the fourth iteration of A Star Is Born, and features Gaga as Ally, a struggling singer who is mentored by Cooper’s fading country star Jackson Maine. The two start a romance which runs into problems when Ally’s fame starts to eclipse Maine’s.

A Star Is Born, which is already getting Oscar buzz, opens in North America in October.
