Justin Stephens/Comedy Central(LOS ANGELES) — Amy Schumer is standing up for herself against online “trolls,” with an Instagram photo of herself in a one-piece bathing suit.

The photo was taken over the weekend on a beach in Hawaii, where the star of Comedy Central’s Inside Amy Schumer was vacationing with boyfriend Ben Hanisch.

“I meant to write ‘good morning trolls!'” the comedian’s caption began. “I hope you find some joy in your lives today in a human interaction and not just in writing unkind things to a stranger you’ve never met who triggers something in you that makes you feel powerless and alone.

“This is how I look,” she continued. “I feel happy. I think I look strong and healthy and also like miss trunchbull from Matilda. Kisses!”

Back in April, Schumer spoke out against the inclusion of her name on the cover of Glamour magazine’s “Chic at Any Size” special issue.

“I think there’s nothing wrong with being plus size. Beautiful healthy women. Plus size is considered size 16 in America. I go between a size 6 and an 8. @glamourmag put me in their plus size only issue without asking or letting me know and it doesn’t feel right to me,” she wrote on Instagram at the time. “Young girls seeing my body type thinking that is plus size? What are your thoughts? Mine are not cool glamour not glamourous.”

Glamour editor-in-chief Cindi Leive subsequently defended the magazine’s cover while also apologizing to Schumer on Twitter.
