L-R: The Clairvoyants, Calysta Bevier, judge Heidi Klum, Sofie Dossi, Sal Valentinetti, Kadie Lynn, Steven Brundage, Viktor Kee; Trae Patton/NBC(LOS ANGELES) — Wednesday night’s installment of NBC’s America’s Got Talent saw seven of the 12 acts that performed on Tuesday’s show learn that they had been chosen to advance to the semifinals. The other five acts were sent home.

Judges Howie Mandel, Heidi Klum, Mel B and Simon Cowell, along with host Nick Cannon, were on hand for the live event airing from Hollywood’s Dolby Theater to learn which acts America had selected to advance for a chance at the $1 million top prize.

Also back for season 11 was the “Dunkin’ Save,” which allowed viewers to vote live to save an act in danger of elimination. They were instructed to search “Dunkin’ Save” on Google and select one of the three acts with the lowest vote totals that they wanted to see in the finals.

Mentalists The Clairvoyants, juggler Viktor Kee, Rubik’s Cube magician Steven Brundage, 15-year-old contortionist Sofi Dossi, singers Calysta Bevier and Kadie Lynn, and old-school crooner Sal Valentinetti all advanced to the finals.

Quick-change artists Sos & Victoria, dance crew Flip, comic daredevils Ryan Stock & AmberLyn, singer Moya Angela and acrobatic duo ThoWings were sent home.

Here’s a rundown of Wednesday’s action:

Quick-change artists Sos & Victoria and mentalists The Clairvoyants were the first acts called to the front of the stage. The Clairvoyants advance to the semifinals. Afterwards, Howie noted that he had predicted the act would make it through to the next round.

Juggler Viktor Kee and Rubik’s Cube magician Steven Brundage were the next pair of acts to learn their fates. Both made it through to the next round. Simon was thrilled with the decision.

Dance crew Flip, 15-year-old contortionist Sofi Dossi and comic daredevils Ryan Stock & AmberLyn  — Ryan was the one hit with a flaming arrow on Tuesday’s show — were the next three acts called to the front of the stage. Dossi advances to the semifinals. Mel B’s advice for the teen: “Keep on doing what you’ve been doing. Get stronger, get more confident and wow us again and again.”

Singers Calysta Bevier and Moya Angela were the final two acts. Bevier moves on to the next round. She thanked America for “keeping [her] on this journey.”

Earlier in the show, Cannon revealed that 12-year-old singer Kadie Lynn, old-school crooner Sal Valentinetti and acrobatic duo ThoWings were the acts with the three lowest vote totals and gave viewers a chance to save one of them with the “Dunkin’ Save.” America picked Valentinetti to advance to the semifinals.

The judges then got to decide which of the remaining two acts would advance. Howie and Mel B chose ThoWings, but Heidi and Simon picked Kadie Lynn. With the vote ending in a tie, the act with the most fan votes, Kadie, advances to the semifinals.

The evening also included the season-six runner-up, dance crew iLuminate, teaming up with alternative rockers Fitz and the Tantrums to perform “HandClap.”

America’s Got Talent goes on hiatus due to NBC’s Olympics coverage. It continues Tuesday, August 23 at 8 p.m. Eastern time on NBC.
