Adam Levine is a “really strict,” “hands-on dad,” says his wife

ABC/Randy HolmesIt’s likely that Adam Levine showered his two young daughters with presents yesterday, but when it comes to the day-to-day stuff, he doesn’t let anything slide.  According to Adam’s wife, he’s “really strict” with two-year-old Dusty and 10-month-old Gio.

Speaking to US Weekly magazine, Adam’s wife, Behati Prinsloo, says, “He’s actually stricter than me and I thought I was going to be the strict one.  He’s…very about not…creating bad habits.”

For example, the Victoria’s Secret model says, “He’s like, ‘You can’t show her TV when she has breakfast every day because she’s gonna want that all the time.’ And I’m like, ‘Oh, yeah, you’re right.’ He’s actually really strict.”

But that doesn’t mean Adam doesn’t adore his daughters.  Behati reveals, “He loves one-on-one time with them, so he takes Dusty to coffee every morning. He’s a very hands-on dad. It’s awesome. I’m lucky.”

Adam has said that his two daughters are part of the reason he wanted Maroon 5‘s “Girls Like You” video to feature accomplished women.  Dusty makes a cameo at the end of the clip.

As for whether or not the couple, who’ve been married since 2014, plan to expand their family, Behati says, “I think I eventually want it. I definitely would want to try for a boy, but if I have all girls, I’ll be happy.”

But not right away.

“I definitely want these two to grow up a little more and experience the two of them together before I do another one,” she notes. “But I think there are more in the future for sure.”

In the past, Adam has said he wants to “have 100 kids,” or “more kids than is socially responsible.”
