ABC/Paula LoboHalsey is set to bring her life to the big screen.
According to Deadline, the singer has just closed a deal with Sony Pictures to develop a movie loosely based on her life, in which she would star. The movie is said to be in a similar vein to Eminem’s 8 Mile.
Halsey, whose birth name is Ashley Frangipane, is a New Jersey native and has long been outspoken about her past struggles with sexual abuse and bipolar disorder. She’s also dabbled in filmmaking, co-directing her music videos for each of her singles off hopeless foundation kingdom.
Halsey is currently touring in Australia.
