Taylor Hill/FilmMagicG-Eazy‘s currently in the top 10 with his song “No Limit,” featuring A$AP Rocky and rap’s current “It Girl” Cardi B, and he’s just released a collabo with his girlfriend, Halsey, called “Him & I.”  He says that song and its video are specifically designed to give you a look into their relationship.

The video starts with a message saying, “This video was made by Gerald and Ashley” — those are G-Eazy and Halsey’s birth names — “on a weekend in NYC with friends.”  In the video, they ride around in a cab, take the subway, hang out on the street, eat, shoot pool, do shots, cook together and make out…a lot.

“The song is just about us, y’know, it happened really organically,” G-Eazy tells ABC Radio. “And I wanted the video to kinda portray that same thing, just to be a peek into our lives, the same way the song is.”

When the song was first released, Halsey announced it on Instagram by writing, “this song is so special to me. i made it with someone i love for the people we love.”

Meanwhile, the rapper’s success with “No Limit” helped Cardi B make history. She’s now only the second female rapper ever to have her first two Hot 100 hits in the top 10 simultaneously. The other was Iggy Azalea.

“I mean, I think what she’s doing is just phenomenal,” says G-Eazy. “And I think we help each other.  She’s just really special.”  (AUDIO IS ABC 1-ON-1)
