ABC/Paula LoboX Ambassadors has teamed up with non-profit organization No Barriers to launch the Renegade Scholarship Fund for “programs that empower people to break through barriers and find their inner renegade.”
“A big theme of our music is the idea of never giving up,” says drummer Adam Levin. “It was a natural fit to launch a scholarship fund to provide experiences that remind people that what’s within them is stronger than what’s in their way.”
In a video for the campaign, X Ambassadors talk with people like Kyle Maynard, a mountain climber who’s a quadruple amputee, and Mandy Harvey, a deaf jazz vocalist. Maynard appears in the video for X Ambassadors’ single “Renegades.”
Keyboardist Casey Harris, who is blind, adds, “We are proud to support the No Barriers Renegade Fund to help awaken the renegade inside of people of all abilities.”
