Taylor Swift’s sales figures are “Gorgeous.”

Citing data from BuzzAngle music, Variety reports that Taylor’s new album, Reputation, has now hit the one-million mark in sales, just five days after its release last Friday.  The album’s now looking as though it can hit a first-week sales total of 1.5 million copies.   And those copies are all downloads or physical CDs: Reputation hasn’t yet been made available to streaming services.

With the new sales figures, Variety reports Reputation is now officially Taylor’s fourth straight album to sell at least a million copies in its first week — and it’s also her biggest sales week ever.  Taylor was already the only artist ever in the SoundScan era, which started in 1991, to have three different albums sell a million copies in a week.  These new numbers of course extend that record.

Taylor’s sales were no doubt helped by her appearance over the weekend on Saturday Night Live and her surprise Monday-night slot on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, where she brought Jimmy to tears with her moving rendition of “New Year’s Day.”
