(LOS ANGELES) — The wait is over. Chris Rock’s first Netflix comedy special, Chris Rock: Tamborine, is now live.
This will be the first comedy special from the comedian in 10 years.
Rock announced the news Tuesday on Instagram.
“Tonight at midnight (PT) my new Standup special Tamborine becomes available on Netflix,” he wrote, captioning video of a tambourine shaking. “Happy Valentine’s Day. @netflixisajoke.”
According to Deadline, the special, which was directed by Bo Burnham and filmed at New York’s Brooklyn Academy of Music, covers, “contemporary issues, with [Rock’s] trademark laser-like observations.”
Tamborine is the first of two specials the comic has committed to for Netflix.
