According to USA Today, Katy and her boyfriend Orlando Bloom each personally donated $5,000 to amfAR, and then she told the crowd, “I would like to offer an experience for anyone who is really, really rich, to go to Disneyland with me because it’s my favorite place in the whole entire world.”

Katy offered “six tickets, and lunch at the very exclusive [Disney] Club 33, because of course I’m a member.” The winning bid was $160,000.

During the gala, Katy told the crowd, “Today I understand that a courageous life is the only one worth living.”

She was also serenaded by former Glee star Darren Criss, who played a medley of her own hits for her.

Among the songs Darren performed were “I Kissed a Girl, “Last Friday Night,” “Hot ‘N Cold,” “Roar” and, of course, “Teenage Dream” — fitting because the first look most of us ever got of the actor was on the 2010 episode of Glee where, as Blaine, he sang “Teenage Dream” with the Dalton Academy Warblers.
