Ruven AfanadorSam Smith credits his appearance on Saturday Night Live three years ago with helping him break through in America, so it’s no wonder that he’s returning to the show.
The new season of SNL — its 43rd — gets underway September 30 with host Ryan Gosling and musical guest JAY-Z, but Sam will appear on the second show of the new season, airing October 7, with Wonder Woman star Gal Gadot guest-hosting.
Meanwhile, Pink, who like Sam, has new music coming this fall, will perform on the October 14 show with The Big Sick star Kumail Nanjiani as host. Her new album, Beautiful Trauma, comes out the day before.
