Normani Kordei of Fifth Harmony brings the magic to “Dancing with the Stars” on “Disney Night”

ABC/Craig Sjodin“Disney Night” kicked off week five of Dancing with the Stars in spectacular fashion Monday and Fifth Harmony stunner Normani Kordei earned the highest score of the night, with a 39 out of 40.

The 20-year-old Georgia native continued to heat up the dance floor, this time in costume as the Disney hero Mulan. With her partner Valentin Chmerkovskiy, the singer dazzled the crowd and judges with a paso doblé to a live performance of “I’ll Make a Man Out of You” from Mulan by the ageless teen heartthrob and DWTS Season 9 winner, Donny Osmond.

The judges were rhapsodic about the performance, with Bruno Tonioli calling Kordei an “all-conquering paso princess!” She earned perfect 10s all around, but for judge Len Goodman, who gave her a 9.

Shockingly, it was announced earlier that Kordei was in jeopardy based on combined judges and last week’s viewer scores, though following her exhilarating performance, it was revealed she was safe.

Backstage, after the show, Kordei said of her performance, “I thought that it turned out beautifully.”

Next week Kordei will join the rest of the stars in team dances theme night: Boy Bands vs. Girl Groups.

Dancing with the Stars 24 airs Monday nights at 8 p.m. EST on ABC.
