ABC/Randy HolmesImagine Dragons’ Dan Reynolds has announced that he and his wife, Aja Volkman, have split.
“After 7 beautiful years together, Aja and I’s marriage has come to an end,” Dan writes on Twitter. “Our children continue to be the most important thing in our lives, & we will continue to co-parent them with all our love.”
He adds, “I ask that you please respect our privacy at this time as we work through this as a family.”
The two are parents to five-and-a-half-year-old daughter Arrow and one-year-old twin girls Gia James and Coco Rae.
Not long after Dan shared the news, Aja, also a musician, posted an quote on Instagram seemingly referencing the split.
“She woke up every morning with the option of being anyone she wished,” the quote reads. “How beautiful it was that she always chose herself.”
Just a month ago, Dan posted a happy birthday wish to Aja on Instagram, describing her as his “one and only.”
