BMGRemember Dido? She’s about to make a comeback.
The “Here with Me” singer has announced her first new album in five years, Still on My Mind, will be released on March 8. She recorded the album in her native England with her long-time collaborator and brother, Rollo.
“It was simple, I only wanted to make another album if it was with him,” Dido says in a statement. “It was made in such an easy way, all the vocals recorded on the sofa, a lot of it recorded at home.”
The singer adds, “I wanted to capture the feeling I still get from listening to music, just that rush like you don’t need anything more than this.”
The first single from Still on My Mind, “Hurricanes,” is out now. The song starts off soft and guitar-driven before kicking in with an otherworldly electronic beat.
In support of the album, Dido will also be embarking on her first tour in 15 years. The 27-date global trek will kick off May 5 in Prague, zigzagging around Europe before heading to the U.S. and Canada in June. She’ll wrap things up on June 30 in Seattle.
