“It’s crazy, but I don’t act like I didn’t [used to listen to her music all the time],” Camila tells Glamour magazine. “She’ll be like, ‘When this happened…’ and I’ll be like, ‘That’s what you wrote ‘Love Story’ about!’ I feel like she knows.”
And despite their friendship, Camila says she’s still a Swiftie at heart.
“I’ll randomly text her when I’m listening to ‘Enchanted’ and be like, ‘This song is so good!'” she reveals. “It’s cool that I get to be on the inside of the ‘thing’ because I was a big fan of it for so long.”
Camila is also friendly with Taylor’s pal Ed Sheeran: they collaborated on her upcoming solo album The Hurting. The Healing. The Loving., and she wants to do even more with him.
“I literally emailed him yesterday because we want to do a Spanish song together,” says the former Fifth Harmony member. “I was born in Cuba and lived back and forth between Cuba and Mexico, so I’ve been listening to them my whole life…Ed and I really want to do one…I’ve asked him to send me guitar ideas that we can start writing to.”
“We’re going to make it happen – it’s going to happen!”
